We are delighted to announce that the upcoming onsite and hybrid IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium, Medical Imaging Conference, and Room Temperature Semiconductor Detectors Symposium will be held in Granada, Spain, in November 2026. Nestled at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains in southern Spain, Granada is a city rich in history, culture, and natural beauty — a truly unique setting for our conference.

Granada is world-renowned for the Alhambra, a breathtaking Moorish palace and fortress complex that stands as one of Europe’s greatest architectural treasures. (Pro tip: tickets often sell out weeks in advance, so if you want to visit — and you should — book at least a month ahead… seriously!) The city’s distinctive blend of Arab, Jewish, and Christian heritage gives rise to a dynamic cultural atmosphere, visible in everything from its historic neighborhoods to its vibrant local cuisine and flamenco traditions. The modern Palacio de Congresos will serve as our venue, offering excellent facilities within walking distance of the historic city center. You will also find a wealth of museums, gardens, and scenic viewpoints nearby.

The technical program will be enriched by a diverse selection of short courses designed to strengthen the skills of early-career researchers and students, while also serving as valuable refreshers for experienced professionals. Further opportunities for engagement and development will be offered through workshops and special events, including Women in Engineering (WIE), Young Professionals (YP), and plenary sessions featured in the main program. The conference offers a hybrid option for people who cannot attend in-person, but those will miss the onsite Spanish flavor. We are confident that you will enjoy the warm Andalusian hospitality, outstanding gastronomy (yes, tapas come for free if you have a drink in most bars!), and the inspiring surroundings that Granada provides. A spacious exhibition area will be available to connect with industry partners and fellow researchers in this culturally rich and welcoming city.
