Time to Accelerate: Together Against Cancer

Madrid, Spain: Monday 6 May at 18:00 CEST

The European Cancer Organisation is launching the “Time to Accelerate: Together Against Cancer” in Spain at Palacio de Santoña in Madrid at 18:00. This event, co-organised with Fundación ECO, will address the main cancer issues in Spain and across Europe and how Spain can better align with Europe’s ambitious Beating Cancer Plan. The agenda includes lively discussions with several oncology experts, as well as representatives from Fundacion ECO, including Dr. Jesús García-Foncillas, President of Fundación ECO, Prof. Isabel Rubio, Co-Chair of the European Cancer Organisation’s Prevention, Early Detection and Screening Network, and Ramón Reyes, President of the European Association of Cancer Leagues, President of the Spanish Association Against Cancer.

Paris, France: Monday 13 May at 13:30 CEST

Join our event on 13 May at Institut Curie from 13:30 to 18:00 CEST to honor the legacy of Prof Trillet-Lenoir who dedicated her medical and political career to finding solutions to healthcare inequalities, workforce shortages, and the need for further progress on cancer prevention. The programme includes an exclusive video address by Frédéric Valletoux, the French minister delegate in charge of Health and Prevention. Our growing list of panelists includes Matti Aapro, Past-President, European Cancer Organisation, Thierry Philip, President, Institut Curie, and Catherine Amalric MEP, Member of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and the Subcommittee on Public Health.
