Practical and theoretical radiotherapy physics course
This course provides the necessary practical and theoretical background for the support of a radiotherapy physics service within radiotherapy. It is aimed primarily at recently qualified radiotherapy physicists, but should also be invaluable to post-graduate students, researchers, clinical oncologists, engineers, radiographers, manufacturers’ representatives and in fact, anyone needing to deepen or update their understanding of this rapidly evolving field.
The faculty is composed of physicists, clinicians and radiographers, many of whom are internationally renowned for their expertise. Saturday workshops and demonstrations make full use of the facilities of the Radiotherapy and Physics Departments of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. The course is reviewed annually to reflect changes in practice and technology.
6–10 November 2018: Radiation Dosimetry, Treatment Planning and Patient Specific Dosimetry, to be held in Sutton.
5–9 March 2019: Accelerator Design, Radiobiology, Quality Assurance, Brachytherapy and Radiotherapy Imaging, to be held in Chelsea.
The cost for each course week, including practicals, is £750. For those wishing to book the complete two weeks, the cost is £1,250. Individual weekdays of the course can be booked for £180 per day. The course dinner will be an extra £40 if attending one day only.
